Support Venezuela
Venezuela has been devastated by two earthquakes that left 680,000 children in need of assistance. Children need access to health, nutrition, water and sanitation, child protection and education (Source: UNICEF).
We are partnering to support Hogar Bambi, a Venezuelan charity providing shelter, protection, care, and a brighter future for these children.

Striking Out Barriers Campaign Returns!
This year, the Jesús Luzardo Family Foundation will increase the donation to $150 for every strikeout. The money supports the Boys & Girls Clubs of Philadelphia. These funds provide the scholarships and resources local kids need to thrive.

Luzardo's Cheesesteaks for Charity
On June 18th, the Jesús Luzardo Family Foundation hosted the 2nd Annual Cheesesteak For Charity at Citizens Bank Stadium behind section 101 on the Main Concourse in Ashburn Alley, right across from Campo's. The activation ran from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM, and Campo's generously donated a portion of all cheesesteaks sold throughout the entire game to the Foundation.
Fans enjoyed an exclusive meet and greet with Jesús, a pre-signed photo cards and a tshirt by making a $44 donation. Jesús also met staff and families from Nemours Children’s, one of the largest integrated pediatric health systems in the country.
We appreciate everyone who came out to show support and made the night a huge success for our community!
Jesus Luzardo Golf Classic 2027
The third annual Jesus Luzardo Golf Classic will be a shotgun style golf tournament, followed by cocktail reception and banquet award show, with the goal of raising funds to benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County, and the Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital Foundation through the Jesus Luzardo Family Foundation.
7th Annual Baseball Clinic
For the Seventh Consecutive Year, Jesús Luzardo, a proud native of Broward County, will host his annual Baseball Clinic at his alma mater, Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.
This year’s clinic will emphasize baseball fundamentals essential to the growth and development of young players while creating a fun, engaging, and interactive environment filled with games and booths for everyone to enjoy.

The Jesus Luzardo Family Foundation (a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization) is dedicated to empowering and uplifting children of all abilities in South Florida, as well as supporting children's health and wellness and underserved community programs. The foundation strives to create a supportive and inclusive community where every child and individual can thrive, learn, and reach their full potential.
About Jesus
esús Luzardo is a starting pitcher for the Philadelphia Phillies who was named an All-Star for the first time in his career during the 2026 season. Born in Lima, Peru, and raised in Parkland, Florida, Luzardo is proud of his Peruvian and Venezuelan roots.
He was selected in the third round of the 2016 MLB Draft by the Washington Nationals and made his Major League debut in 2019 with the Oakland Athletics at just 21 years old. Luzardo was traded to the Miami Marlins in 2021, marking a homecoming to South Florida. In 2023, he struck out 208 batters, setting a franchise record for the most strikeouts in a single season by a left-handed starter in Marlins history. In recognition of his impact both on and off the field, MLB named Luzardo the Marlins’ nominee for the 2024 Roberto Clemente Award, an honor given annually to the player who best exemplifies the game’s values through character, community service, and philanthropy.
He joined the Phillies ahead of the 2025 season, bringing both his electric arsenal and his passion for community work to Philadelphia. His dominant performance throughout the 2026 season earned him his first career MLB All-Star selection.
Off the field, Luzardo remains deeply committed to giving back. Every offseason, he hosts a free youth baseball clinic at his alma mater, Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, inspiring the next generation of players in his hometown. He’s also a longtime volunteer and sponsor for Challenger Baseball, a program empowering children with cognitive or physical disabilities to experience the joy of the game.Additionally, he lent his time and support to organizations such as the Joe DiMaggio Children’sHospital, Camillus House, WOW Center Miami, Arc Broward, and the Boys & Girls Club of Broward County.
In 2025, Luzardo launched the 'Striking Out Barriers Initiative', which transforms his on-field success into real-world impact. Through the program, his foundation donated $100 for every strikeout he recorded during the season, benefitting the Boys & Girls Clubs of Philadelphia. This year, the program continued and donations increased to $150 for every strike out. The initiative attracts multiple community partners who pledged to match his donations, amplifying the reach and positive effect of the program across the city.
