Initiatives

Striking Out Barriers Campaign Returns!

This year, the Jesús Luzardo Family Foundation will increase the donation to $150 for every strikeout. The money supports the Boys & Girls Clubs of Philadelphia. These funds provide the scholarships and resources local kids need to thrive.

“Giving back has always been a big part of who I am, and Striking Out Barriers allows me to turn every moment on the mound into an opportunity to make a real difference. Supporting the Boys & Girls Clubs and the incredible kids they serve means everything to me, and I’m excited to build on last year’s impact and continue creating opportunities for them to succeed.”

Luzardo's Cheesesteaks for Charity

On Saturday, August 30, Jesús Luzardo hosted the inaugural Luzardo’s Cheesesteaks for Charity outside Citizens Bank Park and the community showed up in a big way. With the help of Philip’s Steaks, fans enjoyed cheesesteaks with a $15 donation, raising over $20,000 in just one afternoon for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Philadelphia.

Luzardo himself spent time with supporters, signing autographs, taking photos, and personally thanking everyone who came out.

We’re grateful to everyone who came out, donated, and helped make this first-ever event so memorable. Together, we proved that baseball, food, and community can create real impact for kids who need it most.

Stay tuned for more ways to get involved with the Jesús Luzardo Family Foundation as we continue working to uplift and empower youth both on and off the field.

Luzardo's Cheesesteaks for Charity is returning on June 18, 2026! Don't miss this opportunity to donate, meet Jesús Luzardo in person, and help support the Nemours Children's Health Child Life Program. Join us for a great cause and make a difference in the lives of children and families in our community!

For the Seventh Consecutive Year, Jesús Luzardo, a proud native of Broward County, will host his annual Baseball Clinic at his alma mater, Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.

This year’s clinic will emphasize baseball fundamentals essential to the growth and development of young players while creating a fun, engaging, and interactive environment filled with games and booths for everyone to enjoy.
